Sentinel Research & Policy Institute (SRPI) is an independent, Delaware-incorporated nonprofit research organization dedicated to strengthening America’s national security and counterintelligence posture. Founded by doctoral scholars and advanced researchers from the Institute of World Politics, SRPI brings together graduate fellows, practitioners, and interns to study emerging threats and develop innovative, non-governmental solutions grounded in rigorous scholarship.
Our mission is to advance U.S. national security through creative, interdisciplinary research and education. We focus on counterintelligence, information defense, and strategic statecraft, providing applied analysis, public education, and collaborative research that supports the resilience of democratic institutions.
Sentinel Research & Policy Institute is classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a public charity under Section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Publishing
Research is pointless without the ability to share it with the academic community. SRPI maintains two academic publications for this purpose:
- The Sentinel Review: Publishes short peer-reviewed articles and thought pieces on counterintelligence.
- Sentinel Journal: Traditional peer reviewed journal publishing research and academic studies focused on CI and National Security issues.
- Common Ground Podcast: Features discussions, interviews, and insights from experts and students on CI topics.
Activities and Collaboration

Volunteer Roles

All research, publications, and products of Sentinel Research represent the academic opinions of the contributing researchers and the Board of Directors. They are not intended to reflect the views, policies, or positions of the U.S. government, the Department of Defense, the intelligence community, or any other federal agency. Furthermore, no Sentinel Research products should be interpreted as the professional opinions or official positions of any government agency.
